Benedetto is a Pittsburgh-based engineer and historian whose fiction has appeared in various publications, including Golden Visions and The Storyteller, as well as the anthologies The Gift of Murder and The Odds are Against Us. When not discussing matters ranging from the Gemini space program to the Boxer Rebellion in China, he writes mystery, science fiction, and adventure stories, adhering to the dictum put forth by James Bond: Follow your fate, and be satisfied with it.
